How RECES solves program administrators' frustrations.
Dear program administrators. We believe that we have created a Clinical Evaluation System that meets your needs as we understand them:
- Do you get frustrated with how unorganized your current evaluation system is?
- Do you hate having to call the help desk of your current evaluation system only to be told your request will take weeks to accomplish?
- Wouldn't you love to be able to add a procedure or rotation to your platform without having to call someone to do it for you?
- Do you hate having to remind supervisors and attendings that they need to keep up on their evaluations?
- Do you wish you could just send a mass email reminding the supervisors and attendings that they have evaluations that need to be submitted?
- Do you hate when it's time to decide if a student or resident is ready to move forward in the program and, only then, do you see data that doesn't support promotion?
- Is it frustrating when your data doesn't really give you the information that you need to properly assess a student's or resident's competency and your supervisor or attending can't recall even having worked with them?
- Do you sometimes take a chance and move the student or resident ahead, but you wish you had an easier way of getting a continuous report of that student's or resident's progress?
We have heard you that there is no easy and/or quick way to submit evaluations in your current system and, worse, when it's time to submit your evaluation reports at the bi-annual CCC meeting, completing them is a tiresome and cumbersome process, particularly when the number of completed evaluations of the residents is inadequate.
We have also heard that there is little interaction between the attending and the resident outside of the operating room and, thus, a very poor feedback reporting mechanism.
Wouldn't it be nice if your students, residents, fellows, supervisors and attendings could perform their tasks from their mobile phones with easy-to use dropdowns and if there is a problem, you can easily communicate with them and remind them.
Wouldn't it be nice to be able to start a dialog in and easy format anywhere anytime, to see the residents profile so, when it is been a day or so and you have done several surgeries, you can remember what procedures were done and if there needs to be any follow up.
